    Lifestyle/ Rural & Christchurch/ South Island Business Development Manager

    Having worked for over 30 years in the Real Estate Industry, Jim has experience in most facets of the business of real estate. Now currently the Lifestyle/ Rural & Christchurch/ South Island Business Development Manager for Harcourts, Jim is also a Director of the Real Estate Industry of New Zealand (REINZ). Jim has exceptional Real estate and organisational skills that have been consistently recognised over the various roles he has had within the industry. Starting off as a leading sales consultant, Jim advanced through office management, to ownership of a two office independent Real Estate company serving the Nth Canterbury area. In 2002 Jim sold out of his company to take on a role with Harcourts Group as the Business Development Manager for Harcourts Group with responsibility for looking after all the Harcourts Franchise owners in the South Island. This role entailed mentoring, managing and assisting the Franchise owners to achieve and maintain the pre-eminent position they have within the Real Estate Industry in the South Island. In 2012 Jim was given an additional role as National Rural manager with the aim of growing the profile and base of Harcourts Rural and lifestyle business across New Zealand. In 2014 Jim moved away from his corporate roles to work within the Leading Harcourts Franchise in Christchurch, with the aim of assisting them to maintain their pre-eminent position in the local Christchurch real estate market, only to return in 2018, to Harcourts corporate to once again work with Business owners around the region.. Jim has the experience and knowledge to understand what it takes to create great real estate consultants, businesses and companies. With experience as a sole operator and leading a Franchise company, this range of expertise provides Jim with a wealth of knowledge, and a huge skill base to assist anyone who is interested in the business of Real Estate.

  • Mike Mullen

    South Island Business Development Manager

    Joining Harcourts in 1992 with Harcourts' Grenadier franchise, Mike has had extensive experience in running finance teams within Harcourts. After four years as Finance Manager Mike joined Harcourts' Gold Real Estate Group in 1996 as Finance Manager where he held the role until 2009. In 2009 Mike joined Harcourts Holmwood in the role of CFO also engaging in various consultations with the Harcourts Group during that time. Mike assisted in carrying out selected financial projects and was involved with the Massey University Finance Course working alongside Graham Crews. Mike has enjoyed twenty years in CFO roles before taking on the role of General Manager with Harcourts Holmwood in the 2012 year. Michael then moved to Corporate and took up the role of South Island Business Development Manager in December 2014.

    As the Academy Trainer for the South Island of NZ, Yvonne is responsible for training new and experienced sales consultants within the Harcourts Group, with the objective of increasing and enhancing knowledge coupled with strengthening salespeople’s efficiency whilst embracing the core values of Harcourts; People First, Do the Right Thing, Be Courageous, Fun and Laughter. Having been a real estate professional for over 17 years, Yvonne continues to prove she delivers more than just words. The vast number of testimonials speak volumes of her respected work ethic, professionalism in all aspects of the transaction, her knowledge and most of, all her commitment to her clients, these skills will be an asset in this role. Possessing a forthright and warm manner, expect to hear "how it truly is", her approach to Real Estate is without complication. Always present to meet your needs, bringing vast experience and knowledge to the relationship. A natural communicator, prior to entering the Real Estate Industry in the 90s, she was a Tutor which has provided an even stronger platform for this role.    She is passionate about learning, enthusiastic user of the numerous technologies available and has a love of sharing knowledge, encouraging growth in others, attributes which are an ideal combination for an Academy Trainer.
