    I love a good challenge and thrive on the excitement of bringing together successful projects whether a musical performance or business transaction. Emigrating to New Zealand in 2011 from the UK gave me the wonderful opportunity to bring together all my skills and re train in Real Estate, having lived in 16 houses so far, restored several, built lots coupled with owning and managing rental properties I have a huge amount of experience in knowing how to sell, look for and negotiate in the world of real estate. Married to a builder for over 25 years with a son who is training as an architect means I know about construction from the ground up ! I have had the most amazing opportunities in my career so far being mentored by some savvy professional and business colleagues, this has given me valuable business skills especially when it comes to negotiating and presenting skills. My objective in life is to be of use, both to my family, my community and the planet we live on. I have given long service to charitable organisations joining Rotoract when I was 18, going on to become Chairwoman of Rushden Ladies Circle and holding many local and national posts pro bono. Since arriving in New Zealand I have founded the NZ Steel Pan Academy to enable all sectors of my community to experience music without necessarily owning their own instruments.     I can’t really say real estate was ever my chosen profession. 14 years ago I returned from overseas and bumped in to a client from my restaurant days. He owned a real estate company and said why don’t you come and sell real estate. I said you must be joking and 14 years later I’m still selling real estate. WHY? I actually really enjoy it – I have formed many wonderful friendships through my contacts with people searching for real estate. And if I have a strength (I have plenty of weaknesses) it is going the extra mile in trying to find the property that people are looking for. Often it may be a property the owners haven’t even thought of selling!!! It has to be said the real estate industry does not have the best of reputations. Sometimes the negative media attention is warranted, often it’s not. I think it is in our own best interest as real estate agents to be as honest as possible that is what I try to be. It is also fun; it’s like shopping on a giant scale. So if you are thinking of going shopping, give me a call.
