  • Dallas Hodge

    Dallas Hodge

    Managing Director

    Dallas moved to the North Waikato with her young family in 1996. She has a varied work history within large organizations such as international engineering consultants and Sony NZ. Initially starting with Riverlands in 2001 as a sales consultant, Dallas moved to an administration position within the company in 2003. She continued her education through Massey University to achieve the AREINZ qualification and graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Real Estate). In April 2008 Dallas and John purchased a shareholding in Riverlands Real Estate Limited with the remaining shares being transferred in April 2012. The Riverlands business is built strongly on the Harcourts values of : People First, Doing the Right Thing, Being Courageous and Fun and Laughter. Dallas enjoys being part of the small North Waikato communities and the Riverlands team contributes to the Harcourts Foundation assisting with funding where possible for community projects. In her role of Managing Director Dallas is committed to ensuring the staff has the structure, skills and resources to ensure they are able to provide quality customer service to all clients.     John Hodge

    John has been a shareholder, along with his wife Dallas, of Riverlands Real Estate since April 2008. With the purchase of the remaining shareholding in April 2012 John has now decided to take a more active part in the business. John’s previous career as a Crime Scene Examiner with the New Zealand Police spanned more than 20 years and required him to deal with people from all walks of life in often demanding situations whilst maintaining professionalism, attention to detail and exemplary record keeping. He is well used to the formalities of the legal system and its processes. Having also owned investment properties in the past, John understands the importance of communicating with owners to keep them informed of problems with tenancies such as rent arrears, maintenance issues or damage. Although a new career for John he will be well supported by the rest of the Property Management team, and with his previous experience will bring a unique set of skills to strengthen our property management department.

    Maria has recently completed her real estate license and is fresh, energetic and very motivated! In the past she has bought, sold and built family homes, and has owned the management rights on a residential complex of 24 villas, including managing the rental side of that business, so Maria understands from all sides how stressful and time consuming it can be being a buyer, seller and a landlord. After many years of being in the customer service industry she understands how important honesty, integrity and good consistent communication is. Currently Maria spends her spare time with her partner, sons, granddaughter and pet dogs, and together they are renovating their family home (which she loves!). You’ll love your new home too.     Stan has now lived in the Huntly district for nearly 50 years, firstly dairy farming in the Rotongaro District with his wife Maureen, and bringing up their family of daughters. Stan takes an active part in their education with membership of the local school committee, Huntly College board of governors and member of the Hamilton Education Board, as well as serving on Federated Farmers at both local and national level. In the 1990’s he had the honour to serve as chairman of the Waikato Rugby Union at the time of their success with the Ranfurly Shield and National Championship. His real estate career commenced with the respected Dalgety Real Estate Ltd in the early 80’s then later joining local identity John Fredrickson in Huntly Real Estate that continued until 1992 when the opportunity arose to purchase the Harcourts franchise which has grown to 5 offices in recent years. Stan and Maureen have sold off 3 of these, 2 of which were sold to their daughter and son-in-law who operate them under the Harcourts banner. April 2008 saw them take on Dallas and John Hodge as business partners and later that year opening an office in Te Kauwhata. Stan’s passion is to assist vendors, purchasers, and their own sales persons achieve their dreams.

    Lorrel joined our Huntly team in August 2009. Living in Huntly all her life, she attended Huntly College and worked part time in a few businesses around the area. At the end of her 7th form year in August 2008, Lorrel left to participate in an AFS high school exchange in Sweden for a year. Returning after a successful year away, she then decided to join the Huntly Harcourts Team as our receptionist, moving on to be an administrator and Personal Assistant to Stan Hickford, Client Service Administrator, and has recently become our Office Manager.
