    Born in Wellington and educated at St Patrick’s College and Victoria University in Wellington Steve entered real estate in August 1993, having come from a background in property management. In January 1996 Steve was appointed Sales Manager for Challenge Realty’s Oriental Bay Office. Within eighteen months Steve took the office into the top ten in the Challenge Realty Group. Steve went on to purchase three Wellington offices in October 1997. Over the next seven years Steve was instrumental in growing the company from a sales team of twelve to a team of sixty-eight sales people with four thousand house sales worth over 1.5 billion dollars! Shortly after Steve sold the business he was approached by Ray White Australia and asked to restructure their international business model so as to increase their competitiveness with RE/MAX. At the time over three hundred sales people, in Queensland alone, had left Ray White to join RE/MAX. In the next few years Steve played a huge part in turning around the fortunes of Ray White and increasing the number of sales people by over 40%. Steve returned to New Zealand in November 2005 and took up the role of Director of Operations for RE/MAX New Zealand. The role was to assist broker owners and top sales people at new and established RE/MAX offices to implement their business plans and maintain the momentum of the fastest growing real estate company - the RE/MAX brand, in New Zealand and Australia. In 2006 Steve attended a wide range of leading international industry training seminars in Denver, Chicago and Brisbane. After more than four hundred flights during his three years in his corporate career Steve decided to resign and return to what he loves doing most - selling real estate in Wellington.     Alan Wilson started his career as an aircraft engineer with the RNZAF. After ten years and several overseas deployments Alan moved into a sales engineering role which required a high level of technical knowledge with the ability to build relationships with clients to build loyalty and repeat sales contracts. In the 90s Alan moved on to an international marketing role in the telecommunications industry within the continents of Africa and Europe. This role required the management of 20 agents, liaison with clients and relevant Government personnel within each country of the region. The role was mainly focussed on sales and marketing with a necessary understanding of the technical aspects of radio link systems being required. It was during this time that Alan became heavily involved in property ownership and renovation and over the years has meticulously upgraded at least twelve properties. After three years Alan became International Sales & Marketing Director for another international company which specialised in telecommunications design and manufacture. He managed existing customers and distributors in New Zealand and Asia and two account managers responsible for South America and Europe. In 2003 Alan moved to Robinson Seismic Ltd as CEO. Utilising his skills in management, engineering, organisation and marketing, Alan’s primary focus in this role was to migrate a successful New Zealand based scientific institution with their own patents into an international commercial enterprise. Alan achieved this goal over a period of 9 years successfully gaining significant business in the markets of Turkey, Iran, India, Korea, Taiwan, USA and Indonesia. Success in this role initiated a move to Hong Kong in 2007 to enable better management of the international business and country managers from a central point. Robinson’s profile increased within the industry worldwide and with that recognition it was inevitable that the business was eventually sold to an overseas company. After winding up life in Hong Kong, Alan moved back to New Zealand where he started looking for another exciting role in which he could put his various talents to the best use. An opportunity arose to become a Sales Consultant with Harcourts which is an ideal role for Alan to utilise his knowledge and passion for real estate and commitment to customer service.

This gave me an opportunity to see if real estate was something I would enjoy doing as my next career, it was, and here I am still loving moving people into homes. My job is extremely demanding but I love every minute of it - it’s a job that can change with a phone call in the morning, so each day is never the same. Like one Friday afternoon, when I was busy cleaning our apartment for Guests who were coming to stay for the rugby. I stopped to take a call… the gentleman on the end of the phone said ‘Gael, I hear you sell houses in Kelburn”. I replied “I certainly do like too”. He replied “Fabulous, I have 14 houses belonging to Victoria University I would like you to sell”. I then went on to sell these properties and achieved the highest residential sale in Central Wellington. What a fabulous finish to that week… and the All Blacks won so a great weekend was enjoyed!!!
