History: Bryan Greensill followed his brother Maling, who owned land in Ohingaroa, Mahau Sound, will working with his brother he meet his wife Winfred and looked to purchase land. The property was cleared of bush for sheep and beef farming and the new family built the original homestead which was a small hut with veranda tucked into a gully with no sea views in around 1902.
